Celebrating World Photography Week
To mark World Photography Week leading up to World Photography Day on August 19 we invite you to a one-day Pop-Up Photobook Library, a collaborative effort between The Confluence Collective , Darjeeling Reads & Sabaiko Saano Library
The Mobile library will feature a curated selection of photo books exploring themes like conflict, gender and sexuality, history, and more thoughtfully drawn from our collection, and handpicked by the team at Darjeeling Reads. Through this library, The Confluence Collective , Darjeeling Reads & Sabaiko Sanoo Library aim to foster a culture of conversation, critical engagement, and reflection around the visual medium especially within the context of the Sikkim-Darjeeling Himalayas.
This isn’t just about flipping through beautiful books. It’s about understanding how photography and photobooks can carry our stories, our histories, and our identities. We hope to create a safe and welcoming space where everyone feels connected…
